About Matt

Hi, that’s me to the right (the beard comes and goes depending on my mood/the weather/the season), a Peterborough-based commercial photographer. My love for photography started when I was 10 years old, when my grandpa gave me a Praktica camera that led to hours of photography, mostly trying to be the next Ansel Adams (still trying). I went on to study GCSE and A-Level photography, and I’ve been taking photos ever since. Over the years, my focus in photography has changed, but I moved into mainly portrait, sport and commercial work around a decade ago. The thing that I love about commercial work is the variety that it brings. One moment I’m photographing headshots for a FTSE company, the next shoot I’m on a hill in the Peak District shooting trainee sheep dogs, the next, it’s capturing new rugby kits in a squad shoot! I am a member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers and have been lucky enough to have been awarded commendations from them for my work. Above all else though, I like to think I’m a people-person; I take the pressure off the person being photographed by breaking the ice and making them feel comfortable. This always leads to a positive experience for the people involved, which ultimately leads to the type of photograph that you want to represent your business, positive images that encourage your potential consumers to trust you and your products or services.
